Bob

(Owner)

Bob Hansen is Hansen's Music. Bob has made customer service a way of life. He calls on 15 area schools every week offering repairs/supplies and advice for local band directors. Bob is a self taught band instrument repair technician and spent many years operating the store during the day and repairing instruments for his customers at night. Bob and his wife Ruth are residents of Greenville; they have one son (Chris) and two daughters (Cindy) and (Linda). They are married with families of their own. Bob and Ruth have been avid supporters of the arts in Greenville. In his free time, Bob enjoys spending time at his cottage on Turk Lake and on his yacht (pontoon), taking family vacations and enjoying music and arts wherever the venue. Bob played trumpet in school and is founder / co-conductor of the Danish Band.

Jenny

(Store Manager)

Jenny Bennett has been with Hansen's Music 22 years. Jenny handles most of the day to day managerial and accounting tasks at Hansen's. Jenny is married to Russ; they have been married 25 years. They have two children, one teenage son (Brandon) and one teenage daughter (Melynie). Jenny and Russ are residents of Belding. Jenny enjoys her family and vacationing around Michigan. She is an avid Michigander, and loves "the BRIDGE" (Mackinac). She enjoys cooking, flower gardening, and jigsaw puzzles. Jenny played clarinet in school and the Danish Band, and saxophone in college jazz band. Jenny is Michigan's biggest Chuck Mangione fan.

Alison

(Customer Service)

Alison Myers is the newest member of Hansen's Music House family. Alison joined us in late January 2009. Alison graduated from Greenville High School in 1999. Alison resides in the Greenville area. She is a professional flute player with the Celtic band KinFyre and enjoys many styles of music.

Russ

(Customer Service)

Russ Bennett has been with Hansen's Music for 5 years. He is a customer service representative and enjoys meeting new people. He is also our in-store computer expert. Thanks to Russ, we are able to keep our computers from catastrophic failure on a daily basis. Russ' college is in electronics, so he is the stores electric repair person for amps and guitars. He and his wife of 25 years, Jenny, enjoy raising their 2 teenagers. Russ enjoys gardening, landscaping, do-it-yourself projects, oil painting, computer and PS/2. He is a devoted Looney Tunes fan and enjoys doing impressions of Marvin the Martian for his friends. Russ played clarinet in school, guitar and bass in high school, college jazz bands and Shiloh Church praise bands.

Laura

(Repair Technician)

Laura Van Vlack has been with Hansen's Music 2 years. Laura is our full time band instrument repair technician. She completed her education at the Minnesota State Technical College in Red Wing, Minnesota. She does remarkable work for our customers and area schools; keeping everyone's instruments in top working order. Laura came to us from the Flint area. Laura and her husband, Russell, currently reside in Grand Rapids. Laura enjoys playing many instruments and is currently playing french horn in the Forest Hills Community Band.
